English version
Hello
everyone, I'm here for the second time as I promised yesterday. today
I will write a summary of my process since when I met the program
called "Au Pair" untill the present time.
My
dears, I met the "Au Pair" program in 2014, the second
semester was coming, and one night I was surfing on the internet
looking for an English exchange to do after graduating when I found
out a strange word "Aupair", I spent that whole night in
front of my laptop screen, but that night would not be the unique
like that. There were still more than 1 year for my graduation, but I
was a hundred percent sure that I would apply in the program (for
reasons I'll write in another post), then, whole those months I
devoted myself studying about the program, increasing my child caring
experience and improving my English.
August
2015 the month I graduated, just after contacting my agency an English proficiency exam was scheduled, few days later I was
approved, then I received whole instructions, papers required
(A LOT OF PAPERS) that should be presented for applying. At the end
of that month I wasn't working anymore and from that point I was
totally dedicated to become an au pair in The USA.
Before
sending all the papers for my agency I took a importante decision to
take private English classes with a native teacher, I did it for two
reasons, improve even more my english and be able to write an
attractive application. While I was taking classes I prepared all
required papers as I planned. Around November 2015 I finally sent all
the papers for my agency, two weeks later all my papers were approved
and now I just needed waiting the approval of the American agency. So
I waited, waited, waited, waited, waited till receive the horrible
news that the American agency (Au Pair Care) would not accept males
Au pair anymore, and I would have to change of american agency - I
was annoyed.
It
was just a few days to the end of the year (2015/2016), when I
received fresh news about my current american agency (InterExchang),
yes I had to prepare whole those papers in a new format again. To
prepare everything again took me about 35 days, I sent new papers at
the beginning of January 2016 for my local agency, again the papers
were approved and sent now to interexchange, this time 1 document had
to be modified, I sent my college history, and for some reason it
wasn't accepted, I had to request a high school history, it took me
another week. Believe me, the communication process between me, the
Brazilian agency and American agency was quite slow, to the point
that I just done everything in march, the month I sold my car, I
couldn't pay its financing parcels as I couldn't accept a permanent
job knowing at any time I would be "ONLINE" for the
families and have my match (I'll write about it in a next post). But
now Rafael, were things working? Not! My InterExchange profile was
approved/ online only on July 29, 2016 – finally.
Now
had begun the real waiting game? everything untill that point took a
long time, so I thought the first family in my profile would take a
long time too! Wrong! Just after six days a family appeared (private
english classes had worked?! All those hours were expensive, but now
I was sure my application was attractive). We have done two Skypes of
50 minutes approximately, They were on view with me during 3 weeks, I
was very close to match, but they decided go with another au pair.
follow below their last e-mail:
Hello
Rafael,
I
hope this finds you well! I'm writing to tell you that I've decided
to go with another candidate for our au pair. I also wanted to let
you know that this was an exceptionally difficult decision for me.
You are an excellent candidate. Your enthusiasm and proactiveness
will win you a spot I'm sure. Keep that up. Also, your English
vocabulary will help you. I am truly sorry that I couldn't hire you
at this time. Best of luck!
Sincerely,
I
appreciated their words and here I'm, 56 days online, my time is
coming - I know! See you next time! Any: Doubt, suggestion,
correction, please use the comment box below.
Antes
irritado.
A
post).
Atenciosamente,
Eu
apreciei as palavras deles e aqui eu estou, 56 dias on-line, a minha
hora está chegando - eu sei! Vejo você na próxima! Qualquer:
